Reuse

Give your empty candle jars a new life!

Remove any lingering wax with this one cool trick: hot water. Clear out as much as you can with a butter knife or spoon, including the metal wick base, then pour near-boiling water into the container, leaving a bit of room at the top. The hot water melts the wax so you’ll see it start to float; it’s actually kind of pretty!

Let the water cool and the wax will harden, making it super easy to remove. Be careful not to pour any remaining wax bits down the drain as you clean the jar with soap and water.

Tag @cohselfcare with how you’re reusing your jars, we’d love to see what you came up with!

Sustainability practices in action

Creature of Habit ships carbon-neutral, an easy and eco-friendly way to neutralize our shipping emissions and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. We also reuse the packing filler from our vendor orders to waste as little as possible. Our shipping boxes are made out of recycled and post-consumer cardboard that are sturdy enough for multiple uses. We encourage you to reuse the packaging for your next shipping need, or as an excuse to send a gift to a friend!
