Advocacy

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that everyone deserves access to resources, support, and understanding. Mental health advocacy involves raising awareness, promoting positive attitudes towards mental health, and advocating for policies and services that support mental wellness.

Creature of Habit donates a portion of proceeds to organizations that promote mental health through advocacy, education, research, and providing services to those that need it.

We are proud to currently support:

Mental Health America

Founded in 1909, Mental Health America (MHA) is the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of all. Their work is driven by their commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all; early identification and intervention for those at risk; integrated care, services, and supports for those who need it; with recovery as the goal.

  • Speak out about mental health: Share your experiences, stories, and perspectives on mental health to help reduce stigma and increase understanding.
  • Support mental health organizations: Many organizations are dedicated to promoting mental wellness and providing resources and support to those who need it. Consider donating your time, money, or resources to these organizations.
  • Advocate for change: Write to your elected officials, sign petitions, and use social media to advocate for policies and services that support mental wellness.
  • Educate yourself: Learn more about mental health, mental illness, and the challenges that people face. This can help you to be a more informed and supportive ally.
